How This Space Came to Be

The studio wasn't always here. Five years ago, this was an empty warehouse space with concrete floors and industrial windows that let in harsh afternoon light. Not exactly what you'd picture for a yoga studio.

But that's what drew us to it. The rawness. The potential to create something that didn't look like every other wellness space in Berlin.

Minimalist yoga studio interior

The Beginning

We met in a teacher training program in 2017. Both of us had found yoga in different ways, carried different reasons for being there, brought different backgrounds to the mat.

What we shared was a frustration with how yoga was being taught in many studios. Too much emphasis on the Instagram-worthy poses. Not enough attention to the subtle internal work that makes the practice transformative.

We wanted to create a space where people could practice without performance. Where sweating through a challenging class was just as valued as lying still in restorative poses. Where questions were encouraged and individualized approaches were the norm, not the exception.

Our Teaching Philosophy

We don't believe in one-size-fits-all yoga. Bodies are different. Needs change day to day. What serves you on Monday might not be what you need on Thursday.

Our teachers are trained to observe, adapt, and guide rather than dictate. We offer modifications not as compromises but as intelligent variations that serve different bodies and intentions.

The Team

We've built a teaching team that reflects diversity in training, approach, and specialization. Some of our instructors come from athletic backgrounds. Others found yoga through rehabilitation. A few trained in traditional lineages in India.

What unites them is a commitment to meeting students where they are and a willingness to keep learning. Several times a year, we close the studio for internal training sessions where we question our methods, refine our cueing, and share what we're discovering in our own practices.

"The studio has this quality I haven't found elsewhere. It feels serious without being rigid, welcoming without being superficial. You can tell the people teaching have done deep work themselves."

The Space Itself

We kept those industrial windows. The natural light was too good to cover up. We added warmth through wood floors, soft textures, and plants that thrive in the brightness.

The main practice room holds up to eighteen students comfortably. We keep class sizes small on purpose. When teachers can see everyone clearly, they can offer more precise guidance.

There's also a smaller room we use for workshops, individual sessions, and practices that benefit from more intimate settings. Sometimes the most powerful work happens in quiet spaces with just a few people.
